Located
on the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Georgia is a small country between the
Black and the Caspian Seas. Georgian landscape is quite varied: deserts and
subtropical areas, swamps and temperate rainforests, eternal snows and glaciers
of the Caucasian mountains’ range, forests and semi-arid plains.
Assuming
the small size of the country, one can easily drive from snowy-covered
mountains to desert and seaside within only a few hours. Aside from climate diversity,
Georgia is also rich with its wide range of architectural styles - alongside
contemporary buildings there is a mixture of local, Byzantine, Neoclassical and
Soviet Modernist architecture, as well as structures dated 3rd or 4th Century
BC, including cave cities, churches and fortresses.
Diverse landscapes, architecture and exotic locations make possible to portray
different parts of the world in different era.
Filming
in Georgia is much cheaper and easier, than in US and Western Europe or even
other Eastern European countries.
Public spaces like airport, subway, harbor and railway station can also be used
as a filming location easily, without excessive bureaucracy. Affordable prices
and minimal regulations makes Georgia nice place to work.
